According to The Corner on National Review Online, Karl Rove recently had this to say about illegal immigration/amnesty/border control:
"I don't want my 17-year-old son to have to pick tomatoes or make beds in Las Vegas."
Now that's interesting.
It explains why our borders are still wide open to every criminal and terrorist who decides to take a little hike north. It explains why gang violence is out of control, especially with new gang members coming from El Salvador and Mexico. It explains the rise in sex crimes committed by illegals, including a horrendous rise in gang rapes. And it explains why we, the American taxpayer, are giving billions of dollars every year on welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, education, deportation and jailing of illegal aliens. We won't even mention the spread of communicable diseases like HIV/AIDS, TB and leprosy.
And since the illegal immigration issue seems to be the one thing that the Democrats and President Bush can agree on, you can bet that nothing is going to change anytime soon.
Man, are we screwed.
Also at Hot Air.
Oh brother, that is pathetic. As if his son or daughter would ever have to pick tomatoes. That's such a crock it makes me want to barf. You are so right, it is stupid thinking like that that keeps our borders open.

One would gather from Rove's idiotic statement that he prefers ILLEGAL immigrants to Americams willing to work honestly for what they're worth!--I suppose that HIS kids should start at the top instead of WORKING their way up!--Guess they should be politicians feeding at the public trough also.

I just read , Karl Rove on illegal imagration. I believe that americans are getting lazy. My wife is a California Certified Nursery Professional . She plants a lovely garden and we do not buy anything but potatoes! ! This year she is planting potatoes. We took out are lawn because of a my construction injury and she turned everything into a garden. America why do you need a lawn when you have a family to feed ? try to get a kid to mow a lawn ? ? ? Get him / her to water a garden and see the rewards ? ? ? FOOD FOR THOUGHT ? ? ?
