China Attacks Britain for Performance at Olympics Closing Ceremonies
Ah, the spirit of the Olympic Games! It seems that the Chinese government media and bloggers were less than happy with our friends in Great Britain over their eight-minute part in the closing ceremonies of the Beijing games.
Among their complaints:

London Mayor Boris Johnson was apparently slovenly and disrespectful, which I thought was a fair point, actually (sorry, mate!)

The London double-decker bus didn't fit in with the 'spectacular' Chinese performance

Who ever heard of Jimmy Page and Leona Lewis, anyway?
It seems that the Chinese have lifted the ban on free speech, for the time being. I wonder if that applies to the Chinese government's civil rights abuses and the occupation of Tibet, as well?
Somehow I doubt it.
