The MSM's Anti-gun Agenda
The MSM is letting its bias show and the target, once again, is gun owners. This go round, it's Reuters trying to force their Liberal agenda down your throat. In a story last week, they reported on the death of 71-year-old man in Germany who apparently hoarded and collected so many things that he didn't have room to sleep in his home.
But Reuters chose to focus on one particular part of that collection:
Executors found an arsenal of weaponry and assorted goods at the man's two-story home in the western city of Aachen, police said on Wednesday.
"There were 71 guns -- one for each year of his life," said police spokesman Paul Kemen. "He also had 41 cases of ammunition and five walking sticks fitted with retractable blades."
And then the photograph (above), not of the man's home in Aachen, but of a shelf crowded with rifles and pistols from an outdoor activity store in the U.S. Here's the caption that accompanies the photo:
A customer browses for guns at the Cabela's store in Fort Worth, Texas March 7, 2008.
As Confederate Yankee points out, the photo comes from another Reuters story about gun owners that includes this gem:
The American affinity for guns may puzzle foreigners who link high ownership rates and liberal gun ownership laws to the 84 gun deaths and 34 gun homicides that occur in the United States each day and wonder why gun control is not an issue in the U.S. presidential election.
The owners are not just urban criminals and drug dealers. There are hunters and home security advocates, and then there are the gun collectors.
It's interesting that, despite what the anti-gun/military/police Liberals would have you believe, the Law Enforcement Alliance of America recently said that gun ownership is the single best crime deterrent that there is.
The MSM in this country has long sacrificed truth for money and greed. Don't let them do your thinking for you.
