Senate Votes to Ban Hurting Terrorists' Feelings
Determined to lose at all costs, Senate Democrats voted today to ban waterboarding and other interrogation methods against suspected terrorists.
The prohibition of harsh interrogation techniques is part of a wider intelligence authorization bill and would restrict all American interrogators to techniques allowed in the Army Field Manual, which bars the use of physical force.
President Bush has vowed to veto. Michelle Malkin has the vote tally. Neither Clinton nor Obama bothered to show up to vote, which is sadly typical.
I don't support torture, but I don't believe that waterboarding is torture.
As far as I am concerned, when the lives of American citizens or servicemembers are at stake, our Intel people must be free to use supervised physical interrogation methods to gather intelligence from suspected terrorists. If we have to upend some PoS and dump water on him to save lives, I'm all for it.
Sadly, a lot more Americans are going to have to die before the Liberals start standing up for America, for a change.
