BLACKFIVE has an update on MSG Troy Anderson and CPT Dave Staffel, the SF sniper and his CO, respectively, who are sitting at Fort Bragg waiting to see if they will face premeditated murder charges for this incident in Afghanistan last October.

There has been a lot in the MSM lately concerning U.S. snipers baiting - then shooting - insurgents in Iraq, and some people have related the two incidents. However, as far as I can see, the two matters are totally unrelated and there is no evidence to indicate that MSG Anderson used a similar technique to expedite the demise of Nowab Buntangyar.
This case needs to be dismissed immediately and then SOCOM and DoD need to offer some explanation as to why they failed to support these two men who, by all accounts, carried out their orders to the letter. Remember, both of these men had been cleared of all wrongdoing, in two separate investigations, before these current charges were leveled.
