John Edwards? Not a chance!
Could John Edwards be any more pathetic?
First, he hired and backed anti-Christian bloggers to help get his 'word' out and then he presumed to speak for Jesus.
Then, after appearing on FOX News some thirty-three times, he decided to back out of their debate because he had a "principled objection" against appearing on the network.
Now comes word that he was against the Iraq War all along, and only voted for it in the first place on advice from his strategist, Bob Shrum. Quite a stretch from this little piece, isn't it?
America is at a crossroads, in my view. We are at war with a brutal and defiant enemy that will surely attack us again on our own soil. We are engaged in conflict around the globe. We have very serious issues like illegal immigration, veterans care and rising crime and poverty rates that need to be addressed immediately.
We need a leader who will put what is right before what is easy. A leader that is immune from political pandering and pressure and that will do what is best for this nation and her people. A leader that understands words like honesty and loyalty and honor, and actively displays those virtues.
And John Edwards certainly isn't the man for the job.
