Now the real fight begins
There's something obscene about a Congress that votes to send our men and women to war, yet doesn't have the guts to see that war through. Something disgusting about the way that the Democrats - and seventeen Republicans - would knowingly and willingly do the wrong thing for political and personal gain.
Today, the House voted 246-182 in favor of cowardice. In favor of surrender. In support of our enemy.
I've served my country since before I was old enough to vote, and this is the first time that I was truly ashamed of my government, or elements of it, at least.
There is some promise, however. The large number of Republican defectors that the Democrats have been bragging about failed to support the measure, and two Democrats did the right thing:

Thanks to everyone who supported our brave men and women in harms way.
Now the real battle begins. To see these immoral people in charge of our country after the next election will be the end of our very way of life. This vote invites nothing but more attacks, more violence and more hatred. Our enemies smell blood in the water, and they will be coming for us. Where will Clinton, Murtha, Pelosi, Kerry, et. al. be then? Not hefting a rifle, I promise you.
It's time to fight back.

Write them, call them, email them, whatever it takes, but let them know how you feel about what they did to our troops - and this nation - today.
